Introductory Anatomy & Physiology
Self Directed Study
A basic Anatomy & Physiology Course is necessary to give students working towards the Certificate in Massage and Related Health Therapies a general introduction to the concept of body systems and musculo-skeletal anatomy. WSMT located a provider who specialises in home study courses, whose programme "Basic Human Anatomy" is approximately 200 hours and covers all the required material.
The course is designed especially for those using Kinesiology, Massage, Aromatherapy, Bowen Technique, Shiatsu and other involvement in bodywork; but it's also extremely valuable for anyone in any helping modality wishing to know something of the structure and function of the human body.
The home study fee of $340.00 (payable to Sue Williams) includes a Competency Assessment which will need to be completed under exam conditions - please contact WSMT for a suitable time for this (a supervision fee of $35 is payable to WSMT).
To enrol in this programme contact Sue Williams. Sue was a co-tutor of this programme for 4 years with Ken Leins, the developer of the course. Sue Williams, 309 Honey, The 309 Road, RD 1, Whitianga 3591.
