Certificate in Therapeutic Massage

This is one of the core Therapeutic Massage Courses held by the School, and is probably one of the most expanding and exciting Massage courses currently available in N.Z.

It is divided into 3 full weekend components; the first weekend starting with a Friday evening class; then 4 follow up week day evening sessions.

In-class hours total 67

Out of class hours include:
15 hours of practical hands-on work to be made up by participants, in their own time; 4 hours for a written revision assignment, covering theory components; and a 1 - 1 1/2 hour session on a qualified Massage Practitioner, chosen by the student from a list of practitioners provided by the School (the practitioner will complete a feedback form) - this will provide the student with professional feedback to assist them in their Massage training development.

Students who complete the above satisfactorily, including returning all practise hours forms, feedback forms, & revision assignment, by the agreed dates, will be awarded the School's Certificate in Therapeutic Massage. Completion of this Certificate programme will give you the skills to perform Therapeutic Massage for family, friends, and professional clients for relaxation/stress reduction; and to help alleviate a variety of stress related aches, pains, and injuries, using the most appropriate Massage techniques in each case.

The course will also give you a whole new understanding of the dynamics and implications of the Body-Mind connection.

Eligibility: This course is designed for anyone who has a high interest in learning a variety of basic and advanced Massage techniques, and who may be considering Therapeutic Massage as a profession.

This course is held 3 times each year - February for the first intake (refer to code C1-12), June for the second intake (refer to code C2-12), and the final intake in October (refer to code C3-12).
